New York Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry has emerged as a winter loan target for Everton.
The former Arsenal ace has been training with his old club to keep fit during the MLS off-season with rumours suggesting he may again don the red shirt of the North Londoners but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger swiftly denied those claims.
However, Everton manager David Moyes admitted to asking the Frenchman if he wanted a game with the Toffees during January prior to the clubs meeting at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
"I asked (Henry) to let me know if he wants a game," smiled Moyes. "I already asked him, he'll tell you."
The goal-starved Merseysiders are still on the hunt for a loan signing this winter with LA Galaxy star Landon Donovan, who spent last January at Goodison Park, a possible option whilst Sochaux forward Charlie Davies has also been linked.
