Everton boss Roberto Martinez wants to get Goodison Park to its intimidating best.

The Blues learned on Wednesday that they will kick off their Barclays Premier League campaign away from home for only the third time in 11 years with a trip to Norwich City on Saturday 17 August.

"I do feel Goodison Park plays a massive part on the running of the team and the results of the team," he told evertontv.

"It's there for everyone to see. Only one defeat at home last season in the Premier League is an incredible stat.

"It's a feeling that Goodison Park develops and that is something we need to use as a massive, massive strength."
