Everton boss Roberto Martinez is eyeing Wigan Athletic midfielder James McCarthy.
Martinez hopes to lure McCarthy to Goodison Park this summer, despite stiff competition for the Republic of Ireland international's signature.
The Spaniard is close to McCarthy and hopes that will swing a deal in Everton's favour.
