Everton boss Roberto Martinez is happy to have a fully fit John Stones playing alongside Phil Jagielka.

Martinez was able to partner the 20-year-old with skipper Phil Jagielka for only the fifth time in the Premier League this season against Manchester City.

"I think the understanding between Phil Jagielka and John Stones gives us a really good starting point in our team," he explained.

"I thought Joel Robles was himself and enjoyed the game and we're starting to see the talent he has.

"But when you see John Stones as a defender and as a young man playing at the back, he has incredible talent and he brings a real strong partnership with Jagielka, one which allows you to build a team."
