Everton boss Roberto Martinez insists Joel Robles can be their long-term No1.
The Spaniard currently acts as understudy for Tim Howard.
"He needs to be himself really," said Martinez. "The big key on being able to perform well is just giving naturality to your role and not look at who you are replacing or whose boots you are going to fill.
"It's to be ready mentally and enjoy your football and show mentally what you can do. Joel has already had good experiences in the British game and now he is constantly has a good relationship with Tim and learning a lot. He just needs to concentrate to be ready from a football point of view that he can be himself on the pitch and I think he can do that."
