Everton boss Roberto Martinez will be scouting Feyenoord defender Stefan de Vrij at the World Cup.
De Vrij is expected to see action for Holland under coach Louis van Gaal, who also is keen to bring him to Manchester United this summer.
Martinez is in Brazil on media duties, but intends to also scout potential signings, including De Vrij. He was at Holland's World Cup training camp yesterday.
The Feyenoord captain is the subject of serious interest from Lazio, though nothing is likely to be decided until after the World Cup.
