Everton boss Roberto Martinez admits he has plans to be active in the January market.

Martinez will scrutinise his Everton squad over the next three months before deciding how to spend the cash left over from the club's summer transfer dealings.

He said: "On paper, we're very strong in every area but football doesn't work like that."
