Everton boss Roberto Martinez won't give up on Porto midfielder Fernando.

Everton had a bid for Fernando accepted by Porto on deadline day last week and Martinez was even ready to attend the player's UK work permit hearing.

But Fernando pulled out of the transfer in the final hours of the transfer window and remains with Porto.

Martinez will try again for the midfielder in January, when he will be entering the final six months of his current deal.
