Everton boss Roberto Martinez believes Manchester United can return to the top of European football next season. Martinez believes next year United boss Louis van Gaal could be on the brink of something special.

He said: "They are strong in every department. This squad is starting to show what they are capable of.

"You are looking at a new manager who arrived in this league and it takes time.

"But I think Louis van Gaal will be ready to challenge next season for every single trophy."
