Everton boss Roberto Martinez was in Scotland yesterday on a scouting mission.
Martinez took in Dundee United's clash with Hibernian.
United trio Ryan Gauld, John Souttar and Andy Robertson are all being linked with Everton.
Arabs boss Jackie McNamara said: "It's part of the game these days. You can't get away from it.
"There will be more of it in the next few weeks so I'll be happy when the window shuts.
"As far as I'm concerned, it's important that we keep them all so they can continue to learn their trade here."
