Everton boss Martinez looking forward to Goodison Park debut

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is looking forward to his Goodison Park debut as Blues manager today.

Everton will face Real Betis today.

"It will be special being at Goodison as the home team manager for the first time," Martinez told the Liverpool Echo.

"I've already had the opportunity to see what a magnificent away support we have, not just in the UK.

"I know how intense the feeling at Goodison Park can be and it is a very important weapon we need to use in the future.

"Betis have had a very, very good pre-season. They have really settled down and Pepe Mel, their manager, has been working really, really well and is always adding a different aspect.

"They have got some good, creative footballers that can really hurt you. All in all it will be a very good test.

"They have been in the UK for 20 days and have been playing different teams so are used to the physicality of British teams."
