Everton boss Roberto Martinez feels the Leighton Baines and Steven Pienaar partnership is as good as any in the game.
Baines has been hailed as England's best left-back after his recent international performances, but his form for the Toffees has suffered a little while Pienaar has been out injured.
Martinez said: "You get special partnerships in football, and Leighton and Stevie have developed that over the years.
"Look at the stats and, last season, they were probably the most successful partnership in the league.
"When you play with other players trying to develop a partnership it can bring doubts. But Leighton and Steven have as good a chemistry as you're going to find in football.
"I can imagine [that] when Stevie is on the pitch, Leighton knows when to go - and that extra second make all the difference to defences."
