Everton boss Martinez eager to unleash Samuel Eto'o

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is ready to unleash new signing Samuel Eto'o.

The three times Champions League winner came off the bench to help the Toffees complete a 4-1 win over Wolfsburg in the Europa League on Thursday after recovering from a groin injury.

The former Chelsea, Barcelona and Inter Milan striker is now in the frame to face Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Sunday.

"Samuel had an incredible introduction scoring on his debut against Chelsea," said Martinez.

"And he is so influential with the players every day in training.

"He was so disappointed he missed the game against West Bromwich Albion because he had been desperate to be fully fit.

"And last night he gave me the impression he is ready from a physical point of view, which will be a major boost or the squad.

"I can't wait to see him having a long playing time."
