Everton boss Roberto Martinez rates Ross Barkley ahead of Wayne Rooney at the same age.
Rooney scored his first goals for the Goodison club aged just 16 before joining Manchester United.
At an Everton player of the month sponsors' event, Martinez said: "Ross is the best young England talent I have ever seen, for sure."
When then asked, "Better than Rooney?", Martinez responded: "For me, yes."
