Everton boss Roberto Martinez is in talks with Wigan Athletic defender Antolin Alcaraz.
The Paraguay international is off contract this month.
The Liverpool Echo says the Blues boss has held preliminary discussions with the defender's representatives and the dialogue is said to be ongoing.
