Everton boss Marco Silva calm after Bournemouth fight-back

Everton boss Marco Silva was happy with his players for their 2-2 draw at Bournemouth.

Everton blew a 2-0 lead at Dean Court.

But Silva insisted: “The players did a fantastic job in the first 25 minutes of the second half. We kept our organisation but always believed we could score and create problems for Bournemouth.

“And we did, we scored the first goal with a fantastic counter-attack and had a chance with a free-kick from Leighton Baines to score the second.

"Then we did score again and after 70-75 minutes, 2-0 up away from home - even with their red card, we had to keep our advantage and keep our balance and not give them a chance to play on the counter attack. But we did give them some moments.

“It was fantastic what the players did [after the red card], they believed [they could win].

“In some moments they got a bit more tired, which is normal, it was a big effort from all of them."

“In the end, we took one point and I think our players deserved more, but… now is the moment to rest and prepare for Wednesday's game."
