Everton boss Koeman warns players: Don't do a Rooney

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has warned his players of their off-field behaviour after Wayne Rooney's drink driving conviction.

The manager, who will restore Rooney to his starting line-up against Bournemouth on Saturday, has also had words with the rest of his group.

"I speak to every player about all the football — on the pitch, off the pitch, and it's not particular to Wayne," said Koeman.

"It's all my players. I know the social part of life, the private life, about behaviour and discipline in the team and outside. It's not more by Wayne or somebody else. It's the whole picture.

"I was shocked but we can't keep going on about Wayne and what happened. I think it's the end of the story.

"He's said enough about this and it's not up to me to continue talking about what happened with Wayne. Focus on the football, that's what we need."
