Everton boss Ronald Koeman remains a live option for Barcelona to succeed Luis Enrique.

While Athletic Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde is regarded as favourite for the job, Sport says Koeman is also still being discussed inside the Barca boardroom.

The disadvantage for Koeman is that his contract is watertight with Everton and contains an €8 million buyout clause. In contrast, Valverde's deal will expire in June.

For their part, Barca are reluctant to shell out for a new coach.

Anothe former Blaugrana star being considered is Red Bull Salzburg coach Oscar Garcia.
