Everton boss Ronald Koeman feels his disastrous spell at Valencia was down to bad timing.
Koeman's reputation took a battering after a dismal period in charge of Los Che early in his career.
"You cannot compare Valencia to Everton or clubs like Southampton, Benfica or PSV because that was really complicated," said Koeman.
"There was a revolution with the new stadium that was not built and is not over yet. That's what I think.
"I went to the wrong club at the wrong time. But when you live a negative period, you learn from experience."
