Everton boss Ronald Koeman retains hope of signing Swansea City attacker Gylfi Sigurdsson.
The Icelandic playmaker tops Koeman's summer wishlist with Everton having a £45m bid rejected.
And after his side's Europa League winner, Koeman insisted it was out of his hands.
The Dutchman also reiterated his desire to bring in a new striker before the end of the window.
"It's up to the board," said Koeman.
"Everyone knows our interest in the player but I don't decide it in financial terms.
"We know that we would like another striker, you normally need two nines in the squad. I am really confident that we can bring in a good one to make us better."
