Victor Anichebe is about to disappoint suitors at home and abroad by signing a new deal at Everton, reports Skysports.com. The 22 year olds current deal is due to expire in the summer, but the Toffees have now moved to offer a new long-term contract.
Anichebe has always insisted he was keen to stay at Goodison Park telling skysports.com in December that he had no plans to leave Goodison Park.
It is believed Everton are now close to an agreement with Anichebe on a new four-and-a-half year deal as the powerful forward is regarded as a key part of David Moyes plans at Goodison Park.
