According to SkySportsEverton midfielder Darron Gibson is ruled out for "several months" after damaging knee ligaments playing for the Republic of Ireland. A statement on Everton's website said: "The Ireland team doctor reported suspected knee ligament damage at the interval, but Gibson will undergo assessment from the club's medical team upon his return to Merseyside."
