Everton, Birmingham chasing Valencia striker Zigic

Valencia are ready to Nikola Zigic to the Premiership in January - with Everton and Birmingham City chasing his signature.

The Sun says the 6ft 8in hitman is out of favour at Valencia and available for £6million, despite the Spanish outfit paying £20m just over two years ago.

Toffees chief David Moyes and Brum boss Alex McLeish watched the forward, 29, score in Serbia's 1-0 friendly win over South Korea at Craven Cottage last week.

Both managers are desperate to beef up their strikeforce - and cash-strapped Valencia will be hoping to start a bidding war between the two clubs.
