Everton boss Dave Moyes is preparing a £3 million bid for Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher.

The News of the World says with just a year left on his contract, Fletcher is in no rush to commit his future to United and could be tempted by a switch to the Merseyside club.

Sunderland and relegated Birmingham are among the other clubs to have registered their interest.

Fletcher, who has 36 caps for Scotland, made 24 appearances and scored two goals for United last season.
