Everton boss Roberto Martinez is confident of keeping hold of on-loan Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry.

Barry's City deal expires in June.

The Daily Mail says Martinez has had an agreement with Barry that all talks about his future would be put back until the end of the campaign but preliminary discussions have been held over a deal in the region of £45,000 per week and a substantial signing-on fee.
