Everton are trying again for unwanted Inter Milan midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Switzerland midfielder remains up for sale at Inter after he turned down a £12 million move to Stoke City earlier this summer.

Inter chiefs have told Shaqiri to find himself a new club or face a season in the stands.

Everton, reports Gazetta dello Sport, have made fresh contact with Shaqiri and Inter about a move to England.

Schalke and Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with the Swiss, but it is Everton which are now showing the most serious interest.
