Everton attacker Naismith: Baines won't dwell on spotkick miss

Everton attacker Steven Naismith says Leighton Baines will bounce back from his penalty miss against Manchester United.

David De Gea denied Baines from 12 yards in Sunday's defeat at Old Trafford - the first he has missed in the Premier League for Everton.

The left-back had scored his 14 previous top-flight penalties for the Blues, already netting twice from spot-kicks this season - against Wolfsburg and Crystal Palace.

"Records are there to be stopped and unfortunately for Bainesy it was today," Naismith told evertonfc.com.

"He's an experienced boy who understands the game and is a leader in our dressing room. It's not going to be a big distraction for him."
