Everton are set to land Benfica midfielder Manuel Fernandes.

The Daily Mail says Everton are set to sign the Portugal U21 international after Benfica accepted their £6m bid for a 50% stake.

Goodison chiefs now face protracted negotiations with Global Sports agency, part of the group embroiled in the Carlos Tevez transfer saga, over the other 50 per cent of the player's rights.
