Everton are moving for Sporting Gijon fullback Roberto Canella.
The Spain U21 international was a long-term target for Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez last year.
The Sunday Times says Everton boss David Moyes is now in talks with Sporting about a deal for Canella ahead of the summer market.
