Everton ace Fellaini credits form to being played in favoured role

Marouane Fellaini credits his wonderful form to being played in his favoured central midfield role for Everton.

Fellaini made his name as a holding midfielder at Standard Liege before making a club record transfer to Everton in the summer of 2008. Last season he played in a variety of positions, including a stint as a makeshift striker, scoring nine goals.

"Obviously I do my best wherever I play," Fellaini told evertonfc.com. "If I'm put up front or just behind the striker, I'll play wherever I'm put.

"But I've always said that this is my best position. I'm enjoying playing here again."

Fellaini was recently lauded by his manager David Moyes as the best midfielder in the Premier League but the tall 22-yaer-old is taking such praise in his stride.

He said: "I just do my job out there on the field. I try to do my best. All I want is that the team wins, that's the most important thing for me.

"It's nice to hear things like this but it is always the results that count. We've got players coming back but then we've won a few games recently, and played well doing so. Victories can give you confidence and the confidence can help you get better results. It all works together."
