Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill has ruled Seamus Coleman out of Thursday's clash with Germany.
The Everton defender has been out of action for the past three or so weeks with a hamstring injury and although he has trained with the Ireland squad this week, O'Neill says the Euro2016 qualifier with the Germans in Dublin has come around too quickly.
"Seamus had a day off because he's worked exceptionally hard over the last couple of days," O'Neill said.
"He's done really, really well but he will not be in the game, but I expect him to be fully ready for Sunday."
Ireland, who sit third on the Group D table, take on second-placed Poland in Warsaw on Sunday as they look to gain automatic qualification for next summer's UEFA tournament in France.
