Everton ace Tim Cahill was thrilled with the response of local Sydney fans to last night's friendly.
Cahill played the second 45 minutes and had the honour of wearing the captain's armband.
And he was delighted with both his team's performance and the enthusiastic 40,000-strong crowd.
"It was fantastic," Cahill told evertontv. "The lads played really well, a great crowd turned out, it is a beautiful stadium and Sydney's a great location.
"The fans were amazing, to have that many people here and to have them all screaming was brilliant, so credit to Sydney FC and ourselves."
