Everton academy proud of internationals

Everton academy chief Neil Dewsnip is proud of the number of his players that are featuring in the Victory Shield this week.

"There are two players I hope will be involved for England," he told evertonTV. "Jose Baxter has gone, he had a slight knock and I hope that clears up so he is available as he has done well.

"Adam Davies the goalkeeper did really well against Wales and hopefully he can maintain his position.

"The last round of fixtures was like an advert for Everton, we had Jose and Adam for England, Lee (McCardle) playing for Wales and Connor Roberts would have played too, but he injured his finger.

"It's a high profile competition which is seen around the country, which is lovely."
