Everton academy coach Irvine wanted at Man Utd

Everton academy chief Alan Irvine is wanted at Manchester United by David Moyes.

The Daily Mail says the Scot has overseen the exits of three key members of Sir Alex Ferguson's staff in assistant manager Mike Phelan, goalkeeping coach Eric Steele and coach Rene Meulensteen.

Irvine was Everton assistant from 2002 to 2007 before returning to the club in July 2011 after three years managing at Sheffield Wednesday and Preston.
