Everton academy chief Sheedy hails Ferguson coaching progress

Everton academy chief Kevin Sheedy sees Duncan Ferguson as a future manager.

The Scot became a member of the Academy's backroom staff in late 2011 and is currently cutting his teeth as a coach with the Club's younger players.

"Duncan has worked extremely hard. In my opinion he is a good manager in the making," Sheedy told

"He's a very committed and passionate guy who loves being out on the training ground working with the lads who certainly think very highly of him.

"My era as an Everton players was a long time before them but they can really relate to him as a Blue icon so he's very well respected, but it's as much for his ability as a coach as for his playing reputation."
