Everton 1-0 Stoke: Yakubu helps Toffees to vital win

Everton have continued their good recent form with a 1-0 defeat of Stoke City at Goodison Park.

The Toffees won their third game in their past four outings, taking their undefeated streak to five and moving to seventh on the table thanks to a 67th minute Yakubu goal.

The Nigerian striker fired an unstoppable left footer into the roof of the net after Tim Cahill's powerful shot bounced back off the post, inflicting Stoke's third loss on the trot and pushing them down to 14th on the table.
