Former Liverpool boss Roy Evans says the club was right to sell Robbie Keane back to Tottenham.

Evans said: "I don't think Robbie played to the best of his ability while he was there.

"If you buy a player for £20million and he's not good enough the worst thing is to keep playing him so what happened is probably the right thing and best for both parties."
