Ched Evans is set to leave Manchester City for Sheffield United.
The Daily Mail says City striker Evans, 20, is expected to join Sheffield United for a fee of around £1.5m rising to £3m on appearances.
Championship rivals Preston, meanwhile, have taken former City goalkeeper Nicky Weaver on trial after he was released by Charlton.
