West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans believes that veteran Gareth McAuley will continue playing for the Northern Ireland national team.
With Northern Ireland failing to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, it is widely believed thatMcAuley would hang up his boots at international level but teammate Evans is confident that the veteran will continue on despite his advancing years.
Evans said: "G's not mentioned anything about retirement or anything like that. I still think he's got a lot more to give and it would be a shame if he did retire.
"You can see the love he's got for playing for this team and this country. I don't think it would be an easy decision to make and I'm 95 per cent certain he will stay."
