Former Liverpool boss Roy Evans says the club has much to look forward to ahead of their preseason kickoff.
Evans feels Brendan Rodgers will take all the positives from last term into pre-season training, but with a message that it's all about what his side do this time around.
He told the July edition of the official Liverpool FC monthly magazine: "You have to take all the positives from last season because there are many: the results, the style of football, the number of goals.
"Our original target was qualifying for the Champions League and we did that with games to spare before going very, very close to winning the league. The margin was fine. You have to remind the players of that.
"But you also have to remind them that the reality is: it counts for nothing now. The hard work starts again."
