Evans confident Man Utd up to Champions League challenge

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans believes that the club is up to the challenge of Champions League qualification.

The 1-0 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday effectively ended any miniscule hopes United had of challenging the Blues for the title which prompted the 27-year-old to suggest that the Red Devils now concentrate on qualification for the Champions League with a top-four finish.

"Obviously, winning the league has probably gone, but there is still pressure at Manchester United," he told MUTV.

"I think the lads have been thriving on that over the last couple of months.

"I think it'll be good to end the season with a big challenge for us, but it's one I like to think we're up to."
