Eusebio Di Francesco delighted signing new Roma contract

AS Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco has signed a new deal to 2020.

Di Francesco's team finished third in Serie A and excelled in Europe, reaching the Champions League semi-finals.

“AS Roma are delighted to announce that head coach Eusebio Di Francesco has signed a new contract with the club," a statement on the Giallorossi's official website announced.

“Di Francesco - who guided the Giallorossi to a third-place finish in Serie A and the semi-finals of the Champions League last season - has put pen-to-paper on an extension that sees him commit his future to the club until 30 June 2020."

Di Francesco spent four seasons with the Lupi as a player before returning as a Coach.

"I am extremely pleased to be able to continue to this adventure with Roma and our great fans," he said.

"The confidence that the president and the directors have always shown in me makes me very proud, and I hope to repay them all next season with a campaign even more exciting than our last."

Sporting director Monchi also commented on the renewal.

“Today's renewal once again demonstrates the great confidence and belief we have always had in our Coach.

“We are all convinced that together we can aim for new heights and achieve our objectives."
