Newcastle Jets CEO Robbie Middleby has confirmed that there have been no offers lodged by European clubs for midfielder Josh Brillante.
The promising Australia U20 international has been linked with the likes of Everton, Lazio and Schalke and although Middleby stopped short of naming names, he did indicate there was some curiosity surrounding the former Gold Coast United young gun but no official enquiries had arrived.
"Josh is a talented young player with a bright future and he's shown that with his performances in recent months," Middleby said this week.
"He did extremely well for the Young Socceroos at the Under 20 World Cup and earned a well-deserved call-up to the senior Socceroos' squad for the East Asian Cup.
"At this stage we haven't received any formal offers for Josh and he remains a Jets player."
