Europa League return a possibility for Liverpool striker Sturridge

Daniel Sturridge could be back in action for Liverpool on Thursday night according to Jurgen Klopp.

The oft-injured striker has not played for the Reds since early October after suffering a knee injury but has is back in full training and could be an option in the Europa League clash with Bordeaux at Anfield.

Klopp also hinted that Christian Benteke has returned to full fitness which has Liverpool's strike force looking very strong.

"Daniel is getting closer, and closer, and closer and now he can train seven, eight times in a row, which is the longest since I came here," Klopp said in his pre-match press conference.

"So it helps us and it helps him, and we have another option [as striker].

"Christian Benteke is in very good shape. When I came here he was injured but now he's had many sessions with the team and we are in a good position at the moment."
