EUROPA LEAGUE: Pochettino thrilled as Tottenham cruise past Limassol

Tottenham have qualified for the Europa League group stage after beating AEL Limassol 3-0 on Thursday night.

The north London club beat the Cypriot outfit 5-1 on aggregate in their play-off thanks to goals from Harry Kane, Paulinho and Andros Townsend in the second leg and the victory was welcomed by manager Mauricio Pochettino.

"We did a very good job. I'm pleased with the performance and players," he told Spurs TV.

Promising striker Kane missed a penalty in the 14th minute but bounced back to notch his third goal of the season which thoroughly pleased his boss.

"Harry has a good character. He missed the pen but that's football. He still scored. I'm happy for him and players," he added.

Tottenham will now go into the group stage draw of the Europa League which will be held in Monaco on Friday.
