EUROPA LEAGUE - Group K: Tottenham extend 100% with easy win over Anzhi

Tottenham have become just one of two teams to finish the Europa League group stage with a perfect winning record.

Spurs made it six form six when beating Anzhi Makhachkala 4-1 at White Hart Lane on Thursday night to end up 10 points clear of the Russians on the Group K table.

Roberto Soldado shook off his eight-match scoreless streak to net a hat-trick for the north Londoners as Lewis Holtby netted his second goal in his past three outings for Andre Villas-Boas' men.

The opening goal came in the seventh minute when Soldado produced a glancing header from Gylfi Sigurdsson's free-kick before adding a second less than ten minutes later when receiving a pass from Erik Lamela to fire home with a neat finish.

Anzhi restored some semblance of pride after a slow start, pegging one goal back on the stroke of half-time through Ewerton, who poked home Nikita Burmistrov's corner.

But Spurs were in a rampant mood and were soon 3-1 ahead when Holtby beautifully controlled Andros Townsend's rightwing cross before hooking home with the outside of his foot.

That paved the way for a fourth goal which came in the 70th minute when substitute Ryan Fredericks was brought down in the area with the referees' assistant behind the goal-line convincing his boss to point to the spot.

Soldado stepped up and sent Anzhi keeper Yevgeny Pomazan the wrong way to complete his treble and give Spurs a resounding win at home.

Tottenham join Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg as the only other side to win all matches but Spurs' goal difference was superior as they scored 15 and conceded only two with Salzburg scoring the same amount yet conceding three.
