EURO2016: Wales Bale pleased his England 'baiting' worked!

Gareth Bale has dismissed talk of mind games ahead of Wales's Euro 2016 clash with England after claiming he and his team-mates have 'a lot more passion and pride' than Roy Hodgson's men.

England boss Roy Hodgson branded Bale's comments 'disrespectful' and defended his players' 'patriotism and desire'.

The Real Madrid forward said: "It's good they bit, I didn't say they didn't have pride or passion, in my opinion we have more. They probably will say the same. I'm happy with the comments. We've got a massive team spirit, the best I've seen. It's just my opinion."

Asked about mind games with England ahead of the Group B match, Bale added: "For me there aren't any we just focus on ourselves, others like to comment on them. For us as a team and camp we don't listen to anything, we concentrate on ourselves - nothing is fazing us, we don't feel any pressure, we're just going to go out and enjoy the occasion."
