Hugo Lloris believes the French national team will learn plenty from their Euro2016 defeat to Portugal.
Les Bleus were beaten 1-0 in the final in Paris on Sunday night in what was a sloppy showing from the home team who had been incisive as the tournament progressed.
France created more chances than their Portuguese counterparts on the night but essentially came up short due to an inefficient display up front, which captain Lloris was well aware of.
But the 29-year-old feels Didier Deschamps' side will back up strongly from the loss and discover a lot about themselves for the future.
"At the end it was about details. We created lots more chances than them," said the Tottenham star.
"We were lacking some accuracy at the last moment. That's part of football.
"We need to congratulate Portugal as they were very strong mentally throughout the tournament.
"For us it was a very positive experience. We are all very disappointed and upset not to win this trophy. We can still build on what we have for future years."
