Euro2016: Tottenham keeper Lloris urges France to move past Paris attacks

Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris has urged French people to move past the horrible Paris terrorist attacks of last year.

Lloris insists that the entire France national team is focused on the ongoing European Championships and wants to reward the fans with success in the tournament after the tragedy which took place during their 2-0 friendly win over semi-final rivals Germany in November.

"We don't think about that much," said the France captain.

"It is true it is not possible to forget about that, but we are fully concentrated on the Euros and our performance.

"As we said from the beginning, we needed to put that behind us and look forward.

"Players, journalists, fans - all together we need to enjoy this great competition and I hope it will be a big game for everyone on Thursday."

"It is important for the country. We can feel our fans are backing us from the beginning. They enjoy our victories and we want them to be proud to be French.

"We need to continue our run. Anything is possible and we need to believe in ourselves. We can feel very proud as French players to have great fans like them, especially as in the past it was not always easy.

"Now we are enjoying it and trying to share pleasure altogether and now we will try to go as far as possible."
