Euro2016: Republic of Ireland playing for their lives - Italy boss Conte

Italy manager Antonio Conte is expecting a massive performance from the Republic of Ireland in Wednesday night's final Group E fixture at Euro2016.

Martin O'Neill's Irish side sit bottom of the group after two games and require a positive result against the Azzurri to finish either second or third, and extend their time in France.

Conte is well aware what is on the line for Ireland and believes the Boys In Green will be playing for their lives in Lille.

"For them, this is going to be the game of their lives," Conte said.

"Ireland has important qualities and we cannot forget that this side beat Germany in qualifying.

"However, we don't want to give a bad image. We want to win this game because it would be a big boost in confidence."
